Diana Navarro is a Mexican-American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born in Mexico City on October 8th, 1988 and raised in the United States. Her father is from Mexico and her mother is from Colombia. In 2002 she began her career as a member of the girl group Kylie Minogue’s tour.

No Te Olvides de Mi Diana Navarro was raised in a home where music was a daily part of life. She was born in Malaga, Spain, in the Andalusian region where flamenco began. She sang in a folk chorus for much of her childhood and started competing in singing contests in the early 2000s. When her recordings were discovered by renowned Andalusian artist Chico Valdiva, she started work on her first album, No Te Olvides de M, which was published in 2005. Her album’s unique mix of flamenco, worldbeat, pop, and Northern African music won her a Latin Grammy nomination and made her a fan favorite in her country. Navarro’s second album, 24 Rosas, released two years after her first, went beyond her flamenco origins, focusing on classic Spanish love ballads with a contemporary touch. Camino Verde, released in 2008, maintained this subject with a selection of songs popularized by other countrymen such as Roco Jurado and Estrellita Castro. Navarro rearranged classic songs into “new copla” arrangements to appeal to a modern audience. In 2011, Navarro released Flamenco, a live CD that concentrated on her origins in the genre and its impact on her own musical approach. In a respectful homage to traditional flamenco music, the album included songs by renowned artists such as Pepe Pinto, Juanito Valderrama, and Enrique Morente.
