Reed Warbler - Carricero - Rohrsnger - El Ave de Caña

engelspracht hace 1 mes

The Eurasian reed warbler, or just reed warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus) is an Old World warbler in the genus Acrocephalus. It breeds across Europe into temperate western Asia. It is migratory, wintering in sub-Saharan Africa. The genus name Acrocephalus is from Ancient Greek akros, 'highest', and kephale, 'head'. It is possible that Naumann and Naumann thought akros meant 'sharp-pointed'. The specific scirpaceus is from Latin and means 'reed'. This small passerine bird is a species found almost exclusively in reed beds, usually with some bushes. The 35 eggs are laid in a basket nest in reeds. The chicks fledge after 10 or 11 days. This species is usually monogamous. The Eurasian reed warbler looks similar to the great reed warbler, but the great reed warbler is larger in size and has a stronger supercilium. The Eurasian reed warbler is one of the species that are brood parasitised by the common cuckoo. This is a medium-sized warbler, 12.514 cm in length. The adult has an unstreaked brown back and buff underparts. The forehead is flattened, and the bill is strong and pointed. The sexes are identical, as with most warblers, but young birds are richer buff below. Like most warblers, it is insectivorous, but will take other small food items, including berries.

Gustav Theodore Holst (born Gustavus Theodore von Holst; 21 September 1874 25 May 1934) was an English composer, arranger and teacher. Best known for The Planets, he composed a large number of other works across a range of genres, although none achieved comparable success. His distinctive compositional style was the product of many influences, Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss being most crucial early in his development. The subsequent inspiration of the English folksong revival of the early 20th century, and the example of such rising modern composers as Maurice Ravel, led Holst to develop and refine an individual style. Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest in the Solar System. It is a giant planet with a mass one-thousandth that of the Sun, but two and a half times that of all the other planets in the Solar System combined. Jupiter and Saturn are gas giants; the other two giant planets, Uranus and Neptune are ice giants. Jupiter has been known to astronomers since antiquity. The Romans named it after their god Jupiter. When viewed from Earth, Jupiter can reach an apparent magnitude of %u22122.94, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky after the Moon and Venus.

Medieval music consists of songs and pieces from an era of Western music, including liturgical music (also known as sacred) used for the church, and secular music, non-religious music. Medieval music includes solely vocal music, such as Gregorian chant and choral music (music for a group of singers), solely instrumental music, and music that uses both voices and instruments (typically with the instruments accompanying the voices). During the Medieval period the foundation was laid for the notational and theoretical practices that would shape Western music into the norms that developed during the common-practice era. The most obvious of these is the development of a comprehensive music notational system which enabled composers to write out their songs and pieces on parchment or paper. Prior to the development of musical notation, songs and pieces had to be learned 'by ear', from one person who knew a song to another person. The development of music notation made it easier to disseminate songs and musical pieces to a larger geographic area. However the theoretical advances, particularly in regard to rhythmthe timing of notesand polyphonyusing multiple, interweaving melodies at the same timeare equally important to the development of Western music.
