This workout is great for losing fat and building a ripped beach body. Its many times more effective than long, slow cardio workouts like treadmill jogging -- and it only takes three minutes! Its definitely one of the best cardio workouts at home that I know of. Best of all, this home cardio workout can be done with NO EQUIPMENT, and no gym membership needed. Its extremely simple -- you just have to learn three basic bodyweight exercises to do it. Heres how to do this home cardio workout: Squat thrust -- 10 reps Mountain Climber -- 10 reps (counting 1-2-3-ONE-1-2-3-TWO) Squat Jump -- 10 reps Repeat these exercises until you have done 100 reps total. You will end up doing 40 squat thrusts, 30 mountain climbers, and 30 squat jumps total. Credit for inventing this home cardio workout goes to DAVE GINSBERG, Dans jiu-jitsu coach in Boston. If youre in the Boston area Dave is a top notch Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, and highly recommended for martial arts instruction. Hes also a great personal trainer and has many more great workouts like this which are very effective, and can be done with minimal equipment. There were actually much more...I would have included everyones, but Im limited by the length of the video. Its really inspiring to see everyone on YouTube thats started with the M-100s workouts. And you can see from the comments that lots of people have gotten great results just from doing this quick 3 minute bodyweight workout alone. Here are some great cardio workouts you can do right at home. Workout DVDs One of the easiest ways to get your heart pumping with a workout at home is to purchase one (or a few) of the workout DVDs available today. You can find cardio workouts on just about anything from kickboxing to dance. Pick one that looks like fun and start working out. If you just add a new DVD every 3 months, youll have a great little library of cardio workout DVDs in no time. Rotate through the different workouts and youll never get bored of working out at home again. Treadmill A treadmill is a great way to get a good cardio workout at home. You can walk on it briskly or go for a jog or run. Some models will even let you adjust the angle of the walking surface, to simulate going uphill. Keep your workout from getting boring by listening to some music or audio books while you walk. Stationary Bike A stationary bike is another great piece of equipment that allows you to get in a great cardio workout just about anywhere in your house. All you have to do is jump on the bike and peddle away. Keep some water close by to stay hydrated. I like to watch TV or a movie while Im riding my bike. You can also read books or magazines if you are just peddling at a slower yet persistent pace. Jump Rope A jump rope is one of the least expensive pieces of workout equipment youll ever buy. You can pick one up for a few bucks, or borrow one from your kids. To get a great workout, simply jump rope for 20 to 30 minutes. For a great interval training, jump 100 jumps as fast as you can, then slow down to a more comfortable jump, barely lifting your feet enough to let the rope go through.
